About the Farm

The Dudgeons have farmed at Conundrum for almost 100 years. Nigel, representing the third generation, presently occupies the farm, which lies to the north of Berwick upon Tweed and stretches right up to the Scottish Border.

The North Sea forms the eastern farm boundary. The farm rises up from about 50ft up to 550 feet above sea level and is approx. 650 acres.

Conundrum is a mixed arable farm . which means that there is a mixture of livestock and crops.

Bulls used are Aberdeen Angus and Limousin.

There is a small flock of about 50 ewes. These are mostly rare breeds and are used to graze the farm trail paddocks in the summer months. They are due to lamb in May.

The main crops are winter wheat, spring barley, winter barley, vining peas and potatoes.
